Stocking of the Shelves
The team at WANDA S. MORGAN DESIGNS, INC. recognizes the unique challenges that 2020 brought globally, and we realize there will still be needs right here in our own backyard in 2021. We feel the importance of giving back, even in small ways, since that can make a real difference in someone’s life. As a part of this endeavor, WSMD has decided to continue doing outreach projects that help support our local community.
Over the past year, one’s home has become a true safe haven. As 2021 has begun, many are looking for ways to turn a new leaf. The start of another year can lead one into a deep cleaning effort and the kitchen is the perfect place to begin. So, for the next two months, WSMD will focus on different aspects of KITCHEN design. We hope to inspire our followers to look at your own space and think about ways to enhance your everyday surroundings. As we all know, THE KITCHEN IS THE HEART OF THE HOME!
For the months of February and March, our monthly SOS event will become a special STOCKING OF THE SHELVES event for the kitchen pantry at Oconee County’s only soup kitchen. Since 1997, OUR DAILY BREAD has been serving nourishing meals to the poor and underserved, everyday Monday through Friday in downtown Seneca. This interdenominational volunteer base organization relies heavily on non-perishable goods. That is where all of us come in. WSMD would like to prompt each of us to take a closer look at our own kitchen pantry and do a deep clean out. From now until the end of March, WSMD will be collecting canned goods, soups, rice, crackers, condiments, paper goods and many other items for OUR DAILY BREAD. We hope that you will consider passing along items that may not be wanted in your own pantry, or even doing a shopping run, to help support this worthy organization. Currently, they are only serving meals “to go”, so plastic storage items will also come in handy. More detailed information can be found on their website www.ourdailybreadsc.org All donations can be dropped off at the WSMD design studio located at 930 East North 1st Street in Seneca. Thank you for thinking of others!
